About the Role

The software you create will be used to manage our cloud service and supportive tooling. While working in a fast-paced environment with smart team members, you'll be responsible for understanding business requirements and constraints, converting requirements into viable software, and exposing APIs for application developers.


  • Convert business requirements and constraints into technically viable software.

  • Develop new libraries, tools, applications, and process for rapid development of features across a suite of integrated applications.

  • Diagram and document the software architecture.

  • Work within a team of other engineers, business analysts, and researchers.

  • Monitor and respond to system events to support customer success.

  • Candidate must be able to work independently and bring tasks to completion


A successful candidate will have the follow qualities:

  • 3+ years experience writing production applications in Go, Python, or C#

  • 3+ years experience in SQL database concepts, designs, and optimizations

  • 3+ Experience building HTTP APIs using REST, gRPC, or GraphQL

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of cloud computing environments (Azure, AWS)

  • Experience handling imagery and large data stores

  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies

  • Experience with robotics or machine learning

  • Experience with tools (git, static analyzers, linters) to manage code and improve code quality

  • Exposure to a breadth of software architectures and deployments (cloud, on-premise, mobile, desktop, edge)

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering, or closely related computing field
