About the Role

Airtonomy is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join a growing team of software and robotics engineers developing the latest advances in Artificial Intelligence and Unmanned Systems for adoption in the marketplace. Candidates must be passionate about changing the world for the better by developing modern tools for companies, from front-line workers to CEO’s, for safer, faster, and more effective outcomes. The software you create will be used to understand the operating environment of autonomous mobile robots. While working in a fast-paced environment with smart team members, you'll be responsible for understanding business requirements and constraints, converting requirements into algorithms that direct motion and sensor capture, and supporting the team in creating safe and secure robotic operations.

Responsibilities

  • Apply cutting edge vision research to solve real world problems in autonomous robotics and image processing

  • Write C++ and Python code to build or enhance platform capabilities and facilitate application development.

  • Create demonstrations and illustration that effectively communicate the capabilities of computer vision applications.

  • Candidate must be able to work independently and bring tasks to completion

Requirements

  • 3+ years of industry experience working on computer vision applications.

  • 3+ years experience with C++ and Python programming.

  • 3+ years experience in applied mobile robotics

Preferred Experience

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred

  • Experience with geometric computer vision

  • Experience with 3D object detection, segmentation, and sanitization

  • Hands on experience developing production level code for embedded systems such as the Jetson Xavier.
