Airtonomy is a fast-growing team of software engineers, robot specialists, aviation experts, and machine learning professionals building the software that industries are adopting for managing their drone fleet. Airtonomy is more than just drone management, we use advanced computer vision techniques, neural networks, and emerging technologies to autonomously capture, package, transport, integrate, and act on data.

Come grow our autonomous drone management tools and enable our research teams to deliver new and exciting autonomous flight and machine learning products. Software you develop will be used to interface with our autonomous robots and support their safe operation. The Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for architecting and managing our cloud and edge device infrastructure in a multi-cloud and multi-tenant environment.



  • Convert business requirements and constraints into technical viable infrastructure architecture.

  • Manage the application deployment lifecycle including requirements gathering, engineering, security, monitoring, and uptime.

  • Build and secure cloud environments across a multi cloud infrastructure.

  • Build and secure cloud environments across a multi cloud infrastructure.

  • Diagram and document the infrastructure architecture.

  • Mentor and support other engineers at Airtonomy to help deploy applications.

  • Work within a team of other engineers, business analysts, and researchers.

Candidate Requirements

A successful candidate will have the follow qualities:

  • 7+ years experience in Python, Go, or Bash

  • 7+ years experience managing Linux systems

  • 5+ years experience with managing resources in major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP)

  • 3+ years experience with containers and orchestration (Nomad, Kubernetes)

  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi)

  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment methodologies

  • Experience with applied functional programming concepts in a production environment

  • Exposure to a breadth of software architectures and deployments (cloud, on-premise, mobile, desktop, edge)


As part of the Airtonomy team, your time will be spent working both independently and as a group to complete critical projects and develop software solutions to advance the goals of the company and its customers. Work hours are flexible and regulated by the projects and work product required by your team and team supervisor.
